"...Do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry." ~II Timothy 4:5~

Evangelist James Lockard

Preaching Revivals, Tent Meetings, Camp Meetings, Missions Conferences, and Helping Pastors and Missionaries

Brother and Sister Lockard joined our church in October 2000 after he preached a homecoming revival for us. They have proven to be a great blessing to our church and a sincere friend to this pastor and his family. They are greatly missed when the call of evangelism takes them away from us, but we benefit from their presence when they are home, as I am sure you will if they are with you.

Since Brother Lockard started preaching in September 1981, he has gained pastoral experience and has been in evangelism since March 1991. He understands the burdens, the battles, the boldness, and the blessings of the pastorate as well as the tears, the trials, the temptations, and the triumphs of the people in the pews.

I highly recommend Brother Lockard for a revival, tent meeting, or special service. His love for the Lord and ultimate desire to please Him is what motivates his faithfulness to service. He will come to be a help and not a hindrance, a blessing and not a burden; you will be refreshed with his fellowship and revived with his preaching.

Looking for that Blessed Hope,

Pastor Timothy J. Perry

Recent Prayer Letter from Evangelist Lockard:

Dear Pastor and Church,

As I look back over 2014 I can see how the Lord has blessed us so much as we’ve tried to serve Him. We’ve seen the Lord save several people and churches, pastors and members encouraged, revived, and rejoicing in the Lord. We were also blessed to preach meetings in some churches we had not preached in before.  We traveled 33,761 miles this past year in addition to flying out West, and we were blessed to be in 257 services. We’re looking forward to 2015 to see what the Lord has in store for us, and I pray the Lord will keep us busy. It would not have been possible without your prayers and financial support; for that we’re eternally grateful. All the souls that were saved and the ones that were helped and encouraged were fruits of your giving to the ministry. We want to thank those that sent money and cards for Christmas and financial needs; it truly was a blessing to us and helped meet some of our financial burdens during December.

By the time you receive this letter, we’ll already be a few days into the New Year. I never thought that we would reach this far; I thought we’d be in Heaven by now. As wicked, sinful, and ungodly this world has gotten, if I had been the Lord, I would have taken the church out and doomed the wicked to hell. But our God is a merciful and long suffering Savior that gives sinners more than ample time to repent, but they still refuse and He still waits on them to change their ways. God loves us a lot to put up with this sinful world as long as He has. But I’m thankful that one day soon the last one will get saved and the Bride of Christ will be completed; the Father will turn to the Son and say, “Go get my children,” and we’ll be home. Praise the Lord!! What a blessed hope we have to be with Him for eternity.

We had to cancel all our meetings for the month of December because of my wife’s illness, except for Dec. 31st – Jan. 4th when we were able to go to Calvary Baptist Church in Chesnee, SC for a New Year’s Revival.  We had a good time, and I believe some people received spiritual help they needed to start the New Year off right. My wife is doing a little better but still having a lot of pain in both knees and is getting around on a walker somedays and a wheelchair other days, but Praise the Lord for the help she has received.  I believe there is power in prayer. There are a lot of people praying for her; we thank the Lord for that and ask that you please continue to do so.

Schedule for January 2015:

Dec. 31st-Jan. 4th - Calvary Baptist Church in Chesnee, S.C.

Jan. 10th - Preachers’ fellowship at Saline Baptist Church and 6:00pm ordination service of Bro. Josh Sharp at Land Mark Baptist Church in Morristown, TN.

Jan. 11th - Land Mark Baptist Church.

Jan. 18th -  Righteous Oak Baptist Church in Wilkerson, IN. (dedication service for the church building God gave them)

Prayer request are: 1. Pray the Lord will open more doors for meetings this year.  2. Continue to pray for our health, especially my wife’s. 3. Pray for safety traveling. 4. Pray for our financial needs.  5. Pray for the meetings we’ll be in for the Lord’s will to be done. 6. Pray that the Lord will continue to give us His guidance as we travel along this way.
