Our Pastor

"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?"
~Romans 10:15~

Pastor Timothy J. Perry

Pastor Perry was born into a Christian home on November 6, 1965, in Greenville, SC, as the youngest of eight children.  He accepted the Lord as his Savior when he was five years old and surrendered to the call to preach in April 1983 at the age of seventeen under the ministry of Dr. Harold B. Sightler at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Greenville, SC.  After he graduated from Tabernacle Christian High School in 1984, he married his high school sweetheart and attended Bible college, graduating with his associate's degree in Ministerial Training in 1988; he has since continued his education and earned his bachelor's degree in Pastoral Theology.

Pastor Perry spent several years faithfully working as song leader, choir director, and Sunday School teacher under the ministry of Dr. Larry K. Raynes and the Pleasant View Baptist Church in Taylors, SC. He was ordained in September 1991 by Dr. Raynes before he and his wife, Terri, were sent out by the Pleasant View Baptist Church to begin a mission's work in Jackson, Missouri.  Pastor Perry remained in Missouri for three years before the Lord led them to return to Greenville and the ministry of Pleasant View Baptist Church.  In March 1998, the Lord opened the door for Pastor Perry to move his family to East Bernstadt, KY, and become pastor of the Calvary Baptist Temple, where he has remained faithful to the Lord and has been our pastor for the past twenty-six years.  He and his wife have been married for thirty-eight years and have five children and six grandchildren.
